About Me

I am a full time volunteer with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), currently based out of Townsville and serve in Australia and Papua New Guinea. I have a passion for the people of Papua New Guinea and to empower them to embrace their full potential. I believe that everyone is entitled to live life to the fullest!
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”-John 10:10

Before YWAM
I completed a Nursing degree from McGill University and served in the Canadian Forces as a Medical Technician.

Since YWAM
I have completed a Discipleship Training School, an Introduction to Primary Health Care course, a Certificate IV in Christian Missions, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and a Diploma in Christian Missions Leadership. We believe in equipping people for missions and giving qualifications for the skills acquired in missions. As such, both Certificates and the Diploma were obtained while leading primary health care schools, leading clinics on board our medical ship or working in the office back in Townsville. These courses have helped me be a better leader and be more efficient in our mission.

I am currently involved with the leadership of our medical team and our Medical Ship in Papua New Guinea.

“So what do I do!?”

I love the nation of Papua New Guinea! I CARE for the women, the children and the sick. I love to CONNECT with communities and individuals, hear their stories, share my story and learn form one another. Once I know people I look for ways to SERVE them. Wether it’d be through Medical Care, Community Development, or friendship. I am most happy when I can empower people, BUILD capacity in youth, equip with medical skills, or with foundational teachings that will impact them for a lifetime :)
